Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the Korean Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology (KAAACI), I am delighted to welcome you to Seoul for the KAAACI-WPAS (West Pacific Allergy Symposium)-INTERASMA Joint Congress 2017.
Founded in 1972, KAAACI has successfully hosted many conferences and expanded its academic collaborations with international organizations including Asia Pacific Association of Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology (APAAACI), WPAS, INTERASMA and World Allergy Organization (WAO). The Joint Congress 2017 is to be held on May 11–13, at Grand Hilton Hotel in Seoul, Korea. Particularly this year, the 1st Seoul Allergy Forum will also take place to provide a current knowledge on allergic diseases and to share national education program.
It is generally accepted that responses to treatment or disease course over time are different in each patient with the same disease according to the individual variability. Precision medicine or personalized medicine has started mainly from oncology and now extended to the whole range of health and illness including allergic diseases. In the Joint Congress 2017, our scientific program is prepared under the theme of precision medicine in clinical and research field of allergic diseases. We hope participants will discuss about large-scale databases from genomics, epigenomics, proteomics, metabolomics, assessment of environmental exposure and bioinformatics. This opportunity will help you to understand how to characterize each patient by their phenotypes and endotypes. We look forward to sharing many intellectual rewards and cordial experiences with you during the Congress.
We anticipate seeing many of you at KAAACI-WPAS-INTERASMA Joint Congress in Seoul.
